AFTER 17 YEAR WE HAVE A SVD BROTHER
Br. David Nikins, SVD born in 1st of Aril 1981 in Mount Hagen Western Highland Province of PNG. Join the postulant in Mt. Hagen formation house straight after grade 12 in 2006. He completed his Philosophy and religious studies at Catholic Theological Institute in Port Moresby in 2008. Later in 2009- 2011 he did his professional studies in accountancy at Divine Word University in Madang. After two years at DWU He was sent to the Philippines and underwent his novitiate pregame in 2011- 2012 and return to PNG and in 2013 he continued his accountancy studies and graduated in 2014. Currently he is employed by the Catholic Archdiocese of Madang, in the finance and properties division of the Archdiocese.
He did his final vows, on the 9th of May 2015 in Madang at Divine Word University Chapel. Archbishop Steven Reichart, OFM cap was the main celebrant. Fr. Joe Provincial superior of SVD PNG Province received his final vows. Liturgy was led by the DWU students and staff and the x-SVD seminarians who are currently studying at Divine Word University.
His family and relatives from Hagen came to witness the celebration. It was a simple and meaningful celebration. Most religious from around Madang attended.
After the celebration they proceed to the SVD central house for lunch and games afterword.
