CBC of PNG & Solomon Islands - 57th AGM – Vanimo, Sandaun Province
Day two of the AGM began with a seminar conducted by guest speaker Msgr. Stephen J. Rossetti, a priest of the Diocese of Syracuse of the United States of America. Msgr. Stephen is a licensed psychologist with a doctorate in psychology from Boston College and a doctor of ministry from the Catholic University of America. He is the author of scores of articles and several books including ‘Why Priests are Happy, Born of the Eucharist’, and ‘ The Joy of Priesthood’—recipient of a Catholic Press Association book award.
Rossetti has been a leader in the research into and promoting the wellness and spirituality of priesthood. He has conducted scores of workshops for priests in the U.S. and abroad promoting psycho-spiritual wellness and written dozens of articles promoting priest wellness and addressing such topics as a healthy integration of sexuality, anger management, stress in ministry, and priestly identity.
Three of the sessions where open to the Priests, Religious and Major Seminarians of Vanimo Diocese as well as to the various visiting Rectors of other Seminaries who had arrived late last week for the Rectors Meeting. The last session of the day was with the Bishops and Rectors of the major seminaries.
The day was concluded with the start of the Bishops recollection led by Msgr. Stephen J. Rossetti.
